Ukulele number 66 is a tenor sized round Uke. The photo shows a concert sized uke at the bottom. It has a kauri front. Back and sides made from Matai.
Fret board and bridge made from jarrah.
The neck is made from Rimu with Mother of pearl dots. Nut and saddle are made from bone. Scale length is 17" or 431mm. Finished in lacquer. Sold

Ukulele number 57-65 The ukulele on the left has a front of Kauri. Back and sides made from Rimu. Fret board and bridge made from jarrah. Some of this series had different combinations of timbers

Ukulele number 22-32 The one to the left is made from totara. I made a batch of 10 each with a different shaped head or fretboard. They were all soprano scale length. We've found this shape to be very comfortable and the sound is loud and bright. Sold |

Ukulele number 2-21. I designed and made these instruments originally for our local Scout group.We made up about 20 kitsets out of plywood so they could assemble them at the den. We called them Banjolele's. They worked so well I've started making them out of Native hardwoods above. |
